George Schell - P.E., LEED A.P.
PRESIDENT
George Schell is the founder and president of GSE since 2007. He is a native of South Jersey until moving to North Jersey in 1990 for college, where he attended and graduated from one of the most prestigious and respected Engineering Schools in the country. There, at Stevens Institute of Technology, he found his career calling in Mechanical Engineering; and in life, as there he met his wife with whom he has been happily married for almost 25 years.
George graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering during which time he served as Captain of the Varsity Basketball Team and played on the Varsity Soccer Team as well as being a member of The Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, while also fulfilling a work-study program on campus to help finance his education.
After graduation, George was fortunate enough to find employment with some of the top MEP Consulting Engineering firms in NYC. His time at these firms allowed him to gain invaluable experience and insight to the intricacies of the evolving consulting engineering world and the growing trends developing within. George recognized the growing importance of energy efficiency and sustainable design and as such sought out to and became the first at his previous firm to become a LEED Accredited Professional in 2004.
George has since opened the doors to George Schell Engineering, which has grown and developed into a successful and dynamic Consulting Engineering firm that specializes in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering. GSE’s success is attributed to our excellent reputation within the industry along with a growing and loyal list of prestigious architectural firms, developers, contractors, etc.
GSE is a Leed Accredited Firm, licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey
